Industrial membranes

Polymeric tangential flow membranes, in which the filtration fluid circulates perpendicularly to the filter, in a wound spiral configuration, are available in various porosities, particularly suitable for carrying out reverse osmosis treatments.

The spiral wound membrane modules allow to obtain excellent efficiency and economy results. It consists of an envelope formed by membrane sheets and special spacing networks, all rolled up on a perforated plastic tube.

The male-type diaphragm module made of polyamide is kept rigid by an external covering in fiberglass. The liquid to be treated is fed under pressure on one side of the module and due to the radial component of the pressure, part of the liquid permeates through the membrane, reaches the central tube (permeate). The remaining liquid (concentrate) is pushed towards the other end of the module.
